Its a timely reminder…we are always connected…to each other and to God. There is never a day, hour, minute or second when we are disconnected. It may feel at times that we are disconnected, that God isn’t speaking to us. But know this we are always connected, God is always speaking to us.
The same is true for your place in your family. While away at work, school or an activity, your connection to your family remains intact. Time and space cannot disconnect you from the ones you love. Its the same with God – nothing can separate us from the love of God – Romans 8:38-39.
In prayer, you are always connected. No matter how you may feel. God is enduring, Jesus the Christ remains the same yesterday today and for ever – Hebrews 13:8.
Being connected is reassuring, it provides peace of mind. How do I know we are always connected? God provides a snapshot of His grace and His intention for the human race. Genesis 1 and 2 provide detailed descriptions of a God preparing a habitat for his prized creation. When Adam the first of His prized creation arrives, there was no work, just an amazing existence with God – pre the fall.
Then even after the fall, God maintained His relationship with humans – Adam and Eve’s first clothing was provided by God. He demonstrates that even at our lowest point when we have defied Him, He remains connected to us.
