Praying changes the direction of events – some may put this down to the power of positive thinking. For those of us who rely on prayer, we know it’s the power in the mighty name of Jesus.

How can a simple prayer change the course of events? Jesus gave is the simple formula – if my Word abides in you and you abide in me; ask for anything in my name and my Father will grant it. Yes anything…!!

Now some of you will be thinking never, not anything. Here’s why its “anything”.

The promise to do anything is conditional; in fact there are two very serious conditions (a) my Word abiding in you and (b) you abide in Me. These two are no joking matter. If you bypass these two and ask for anything, then there’s nothing to get because the conditions are not met. Simply claiming you are abiding doesn’t work either.

How do you know you are abiding? Jesus gave the answer to that question also. “If you love Me, you will keep my commandments”. What was the command Jesus gave? That you love one another as I have loved you.

So, abiding in Jesus is to love one another as Jesus loves us – therefore the “anything” you will ask for will be to achieve the same outcomes that Jesus came to this earth to achieve – salvation through Love.
